Tokyo Game Show 2024 was held at Makuhari Messe from September 26 to 29, 2024.

The show attracted approximately 270,000 visitors, 30,000 more than in 2023; SHAKE had a WEB3 game booth and a night party.

TGS2024｜Explanation of YGGJ Booth Exhibits

Tokyo Game Show 2024 is one of the world’s most popular and comprehensive game events, and YGG Japan held the largest booth in the industry.

Visitors were able to experience the latest Web3 games that are gaining momentum around the world, and watch a stage where games were introduced and industry leading guests took the stage.

Seamoon Protocol by DMM Crypto

At the Seamoon Protocol booth, visitors were able to try out “Kanpani Girls RE:BLOOM,” the NFT trading card game “KAMIYAGURA,” and the online crane game “BOUNTY HUNTERS.

TON Japan

Promotional videos of “CATIZEN,” “CatChef,” and “Yescoin” were shown at the TON Japan booth, and pins and other gifts were handed out.

Tarta Games

At the Tarta Games booth, visitors were able to try out “Spot Zero,” an anime-style 3D action RPG, and the full-fledged action game was well received.Stickers and other items were also distributed to those who played the game.

SkyMavis

The SkyMavis booth displayed “AxieInfinity,” and many people stopped by the booth to watch the “Japan’s Best of the Best” competition.

SNPIT

The “SNPIT” booth explained the game and offered a campaign to receive NFT after TGS.

The booth attracted many visitors, perhaps because of the simple gameplay of taking pictures. The game also won the “Great Game Award” for excellence as mentioned above.

At the “CoinMusume” booth, visitors were able to try out the game and play with a gacha (a Japanese pinball machine), from which stickers and other goods were available.The gacha-gacha was especially popular with users, who were excited to see what they could get out of it.

De:Lithe Last Memories

At the “De:Lithe Last Memories” booth, visitors could not only try out the game, but also receive gifts based on their progress in the game and talk with staff about strategy information, creating a fun atmosphere.

GENSOKISHI Online – META WORLD –

At the “GENSOKISHI Online – META WORLD -” booth, materials explaining the outline and features of the game and a PV were shown. Many people visited the booth due to the presentation on the stage.

JAN-NAVI

The “Jan-Navi” booth mainly introduced the game and offered various giveaways.Many people who had never heard of Web3 visited the booth because it is a mahjong game.

Sui

At the Sui booth, we had flyers and giveaways, mainly introducing Sui’s gaming devices.

At the “Kai Sangokushi Taisen” booth, flyers were distributed with a video introducing the game.They also answered various questions about the announcements made on stage.

Gamies was showing a video introducing their business, and Blackmagicdesign was introducing their equipment and handing out materials to interested visitors.

Game-specific L3 “YAIBA Presentation” + From “Play to Earn” to the Next Era – Global Trends 2024

YAIBA” is a game-specific layer 3 of SONY’s Soneium blockchain.The concept of seamlessly bridging the abundant game IP content from Japan, which boasts a high global profile, to the Web3 game world, where the user base is still thin, by overcoming barriers of language, culture, and business practices was presented.

In the latter half of the session, under the title of “From ‘Play to Earn’ to the Next Era – Global Trend 2024,” a session was held on the future of Web3 games.

DMM Selected Web3 Game Titles!

On the DMM stage on the third day, an overview of SEAMOON PROTOCOL and introduction of each project were presented.

During the project introductions, the people in charge of each project took the stage and explained their thoughts on development and detailed game content.

The CoinMusume stage also featured a live stage with actual voice actors, which was very exciting.

Axie Infinity Japan’s Strongest Battle powered by Ronin

The Ronin special stage featured an overview of the Ronin chain and the “Axie Infinity Japan’s Strongest” competition.

A tournament format was used to see who was the strongest among the teams that won 10 million yen.

The event was very exciting with the chants of “Let’s go, Axie!” The winner of the tournament was crowned as the winner. The winner was kenken.

Coin Musume Stage

The CoinMusume stage began with an introduction of the CoinMusume game, followed by actual game play on the game screen and a lively scene with the voice actors.

A rock-paper-scissors-scissors tournament for a chance to win a T-shirt was also a great success!

Web3 Game Award 2024

On the last stage of the third day, the “Web3 Game Award 2024” ceremony was held by GAMIES Inc.

GAMIES CEO “Noroichan,” FAV Gaming’s “Laiki Jones,” and “RAD” took the stage.

First, five nominated games in each of the three categories were selected by user voting (800 total votes), and then the Grand Prize was decided by a final vote as follows.

Networking Party “Web3 Arcade” by IVC & YGG Japan

On September 26, 2024, YGG Japan and IVC hosted a networking party at RED° TOKYO TOWER in Shiba Park, Tokyo.

More than 200 visitors attended the event, which brought together businesses and users related to Web3.

The party started with greetings from YGGJ and IVC.The party proceeded with food and drinks, and the introduction of the sponsors’ projects was very well received.
